Google your website to see how many sites are ahead of you so you can see how you rank in the search engines. Chances are you are so far down the list that it will mean that it’s almost virtually impossible for you to get one single visitor per day from free Google traffic. The best way to make money with Google Adsense ads on your site is to get a lot of visitors to your site. And the best way to get visitors to your site is to get them there for free. Sure you could use Google Adwords, which is the opposite of Google Adsense, and pay Google to advertise your site for you but that will cost you money. Another way to get people to your site is to optimize it for the search engines so that when someone does a search for your keywords then the results will bring up your website in the top 10 rankings. Hopefully you will rank at number 1 for your keyword terms but the top 3 will give you a considerable amount of traffic for just that one page that you rank for. If you multiply this over 25-100-500 pages of your website then you can drive a TON of traffic to your site.

To get started you will first need to have good quality content on your website. That means you will need to create article related to your site subject. If your site is about growing flowers then you need to write article about growing flowers, fertilizer for the flowers, how to care for the flowers, etc. While creating the articles you need to decide first on the title of the article you will write about because this is where you will start to use your keyword terms to help drive traffic. Once you have a title for an article then you need to think of a keyword phrase or terms that you think people who search for your site will type in. It’s a good idea to have about 3 or 4 keyword terms for each article you write. Once you have the keyword terms then try and incorporate them into your title somehow. For instance if your keywords are (the best fertilizer, tips for growing flowers, and caring for your flowers) then an example of a title would be “Growing and Caring For Flowers Using The Best Fertilizer.” This title includes all of your keyword terms in it.

The next thing to do is start to write your article using your own words to create unique quality content. Use your expertise in the field that you are writing about to come across credible to your potential readers. While you are writing keep a mental note of your keyword terms so that you can incorporate them into the article. It is a good idea to use each keyword term at least two to three times in the article so that search engines can see that the content of the site matches what a searcher is searching for. If there is a description field then be sure to describe you site or article and uses your keywords in the description as well. The key is to create as many articles as you can related to all of the subjects you can think of about your site. There is many niches that a site subject can be broken down into. So write as much as you can, but to get you started I would suggest that you write a minimum of 5 articles for your website.

Once you have written your articles now you need to get whats called backlinks to you site and articles. A back link is an incoming link where a site other than yours links to your site. A site linking to yours is like a vote of confidence from the web community saying that your website is good enough to stand with other reputable sites. Not all backlinks have the same weight though. Backlinks from sites with high page ranks are favored by Google and they will help to raise you page rank and once your page rank starts to grow your site will skyrocket up the search engine rankings to the first page where all of the free incoming traffic comes from. To get a backlink from a high page rank site you need to locate these sites. Social bookmarking sites like Digg and Technarati are high ranking sites that if you join them they allow you to bookmark a link back to your site on from theirs. When Google sees these links they count them as a vote for your sites popularity and your website moves up the search engines. This also brings you free traffic from anyone that sees your website link and clicks on it from these sites. Another way to get the back links is by using social media sites like Facebook, Myspace, and Twitter to create a backlink. You can post a link to your website on you profile for each or these and these links will be found by Google and move your search engine ranking up more. Plus these will give you free traffic from friends as well. With Twitter it’s good to tweet a link for every article you post on your site to drive traffic and give you a link to your site. Another way to get high page rank backlinks is to go to article submission sites and sign up. Sites like EzineArticles and GoArticles will allow you to write articles for their website which can be linked back to your site. Write about 5 different short articles about your site for each of these and link back to your site linking your keyword phrases to your site. This will give you a link back to your site for each article you write and will also help to boost your search rankings and anyone who reads your article may click the link to your sites and send you free traffic. All of these ways will yeild you substantial results if followed and you can check your site ranking using your keywords periodically to see the progress your site makes based on your keyword terms. A good bonus for all websites is that even though you have targeted certain keywords for rankings, a site with a lot of content will always rank good for other keywords that you will not even know you are ranking for. This is because the more content you have on your site the more there is a chance that some combination of words that are being searched will yield a result that will send you traffic especially if those terms rank in the top 3 results on Google search engines. That is a great bonus for all of the hard work you put into building your site. So repeat these step for every article or post that you do for your site and you will see that before long you will rank on the first page of Google for each and every one of your keywords and webpages.

There is a program that Google has called Adsense that pays website and blog owners and authors for the posting ads along side their work. This is called by many as posting links on google. This program is kind of like the Roswell UFO crash. I say that because the program that people call posting links on Google is a myth that actually does not and never has not existed. However there are hundreds of newbies everyday scouring the web to find out how to work online posting links on google. Just like the UFO crash in Roswell New Mexico there is never going to be proof that this exists. There is however a division of Google that will pay you for so called posting links. To post a link on Google you simply need to sign up for an Adsense account and put the ad code that you are given from Google Adsense in the HTML section on your website and links to Google ads will start to appear on your website. It will take a few hours for Google to notice the links you post on your website before the ads appearing start to become relevant to your website content. Posting a link on google is kind of deceptive in a way because the links are actually posted on your website, unless you use one of Google’s website services like Blogger to enable ads and post link.

Link postings are a great way to earn some extra cash. If you have a website that see’s a minimum of about 50 visitors to one particular page then I would suggest that you use Google Adsense to earn extra cash on your website. You will receive google link posting money for every time that someone visits your site and clicks on one of the Google sponsored ads or links that are showed on your site. You will also earn money from page impressions. Page impressions work best when your site has at least 1000 or more visitors daily because you are paid based on how many visitors the ads are shown to. The money you can make from Google will vary based on your site’s popularity and the amount of traffic that you can monetize from your blog.

There has been a google link posting scam going around. The scam tells you that you can work for google and have a Google link posting job. Well the Google link posting jobs that they talk about do not exist. There is no application to fill out or interview that Google will call you to come for. So there is no need to update your resume just yet. So posting link on Google is not something that you should be trying to get a job doing. What you need to do to start to earn money from Google is do a Google search for Google Adsense and go to the website and read all about the program. If you this seems like something that you would like to try to do then go for it. Posting link for google is however the top money making program online. Everyone from CNN to MSN is making money from Google links or ads running on their sites. That means that posting links for Goole is a viable source of online income and it is not a scam you just need to understand what it is and what it is not. If someone is asking you to pay for a link posting system then it is a SCAM. Google Adsense is absolutely FREE to sign up for and start posting those links.

Many online businesses make money selling their own products. You can create an e-book that teaches others how to make money online. You can also make money by creating a how to guide and making it available for download for a small fee. Another way is to create video courses showing people how to do things like making money and sell this as a download. It can also be used as a product for a monthly subscription to your website. You can offer the series of courses to be available as a recurring monthly subscription where as long as the user has a current subscription they have access to your useful informative videos and how-to archives. This is one of many ways that you can make a decent living selling your own products online.

“Don’t sell what everyone else is selling. It makes business a lot harder. Especially don’t sell what you can pick up in any big department store. DVDs, books, well known clothing brands and other such items will be difficult to sell, as there will be little extra value you can offer……”

Do you want to work for someone else or do you want to work for you? There are people out there who believe it or not are perfectly happy working for someone else. Getting up day after day to go to the same workplace to do the same job for the same amount of money. There are also those that will have it no other way than to either work for themselves. The trade off for working for yourself as opposed to working for someone else is that as long as you are employed then they will pay you a regular check. If you work for yourself the pay come from the business that you run an the amount of work you do will usually determine the financial rewards that you earn.

There is no worse feeling than having your boss call you into his office to thank you for the great job you have been doing bringing the company thousands of dollars in everyday. When he gives you your bonus from all of the hard work and it’s a measly $50 for bringing in $60,000+ dollars into the company for one month then you will see the rewards are no the same as if you have your own business. With your own business all of the profits are strictly yours. There is no one who can fire you if you don’t make your sales for the month. This gives you a sort of security blanket that others that work for someone else wont have. And knowing that it’s yours means that you will work harder to maintain what you have.

We all know that time is money when it comes to running your own business. If you are new to any small business chances are that you are your only employee. Which is very much different than when you were working for an employer. Working for someone else there were probably 50 or more people in your workplace and those 50 or so people divided up all of the work that was needing to be done to run the business and turn a profit. But when you are the only one employed then there is a constant battle to stay focused on doing the necessary things to keep your business operating. By yourself there is no one to share the workload so you have to be the janitor and the CEO. For this reason time management is imperative.

Managing your time is very important because not all things will need to be done at the same time because not all work tasks are equal. Shipping an order to your customer is more important than cleaning your office space. There are so many distractions that keep you from focusing on the most important day to day tasks that can really float or sink your boat. You need to decide what things are more important and tackle those things first and then work on the next important things until you have it narrowed down to the least important things. A business is an entity because it exists with a life of its own. You have to manage that life and guide it in the right direction.

Time management means filing invoices and other paperwork and not spending an hour a day looking at stats for how many visitors you have. It means ordering and picking up supplies as opposed to playing online games or socializing for hours online on social network sites. Time management means jotting down your list of things to do each day and not just trying to remember what needs to be done and when. Time management is important to any business whether online or a brick and mortar storefront. These principals are pretty much universal. And if you want to be a success online business owner then you will have to adapt and implement a vast array of time managing techniques that will help to guide you through your day to day tasks. Stay focused on the work that needs to be done and keep distraction as far out of sight and reach as you can. If there is something in close proximity that distracts you and consumes your time then move it out of site. If the earge comes to be distracted just remind yourself what is more important and what your overall goal is that the distraction will hinder you from reaching. Follow these guidelines and you will succeed much faster than you would without them.

The question is if you need to have your keywords in the URL and the title of your site or is it ok having it in one of the other. I’m not sure but there is debate about if you need both. Most guru’s say that it’s a must that you have the keywords in both places.

Well check out this account of someone who found that it may not always be true. After mistakes with her article she made a few changes and got results that she was not expecting. The results are somewhat surprising and you should see for yourself if it makes a difference.
